Venue:
Ljubljana is the capital and largest city of Slovenia. In the summertime it has a Mediterranean ambiance and snow in winter. The charming buildings in the Old Town give Ljubljana a special atmosphere and the medieval fortress on the Castle hill offers stunning views over the city.

Accomodation:
A contingent of rooms has been negotiated with the City Hotel for the meeting at a special price:
- 105 € - single occupancy
- 120 € - double occupancy
Rates include buffet breakfast, VAT and WiFi but not the Tourist tax (3.13 € per person and day).

Please note, the number of rooms at the City Hotel at the reduced rate is limited. However, participants can, of course, also choose an accommodation on their own.

Meals and Meeting Allowance:
For making the meeting possible, it is unfortunately necessary to implement a small meeting allowance:
- until April 24th, early bird registration: 100 € for PIs/seniors and 50 € for Post-docs/students.
- from April 25th to April 30th: 150 € for PIs/seniors and 75 € for Post-docs/students
This allowance will be used towards the general costs of the meeting. The meeting allowance does not cover accommodation or lunch or dinner. If you wish to have your lunches and dinners at the Cityhotel's restaurant, it will be necessary to buy tickets upon registration. On the last day, it will be possible to buy a take away lunch bag. Alternatively you can buy a ticket for lunch at the meeting venue.
Please also make sure that you arrange your accommodation yourself.
Travel:
Ljubljana can be reached by car, train and air travel.
- Arrival by air travel
- Ljubljana airport hosts flights to all the major European cities and airports. The airport Jose Pucnik is about 25 km away from the City Hotel in Ljubljana. Various means of transport are available. Public buses leave from the airport and stop at the main bus station that is in walking distance to the City Hotel (about 400 m). Another option is to book a door to door shuttle service (http://www.markun-shuttle.com/en/landing-english/). The hotel City Hotel also offers a shuttle mini bus (11 € per person one way) or a taxi service (33 € per car one way). - You can also reach Ljubljana relatively easily from neighbouring countries airports. Austria (Klagenfurt - 79 km, Graz - 160 km), Croatia (Zagreb - 135 km), Italy (Trieste - 120 km, Venice - 220 km).
- Arrival by train
- Ljubljana has excellent international railway connections. The main station is close to the City center and in walking distance of the City Hotel (about 400 m).
- Arrival by car
- The city centre of Ljubljana is closed for traffic. The City Hotel is, however, easily accessible from all main roads entering the city. The hotel is located right where the traffic-free area begins and thus still accessible by car. You can park your car in the underground garage of the hotel. The hotel garage is located aon the opposite side of the main Hotel entrance. Access to the Hotel Garage is possible via Tavcarjeva ulica 10 (arriving from Dalmatinova or Komenskega street), However, pre-booking of a parking slot is recommended. Parking in the City Hotel garage costs 18 € per day. It is recommended to make an inquiry in advance (you can leave a comment upon placing the reservation). Space is not guaranteed until it is confirmed by the hotel.
- A vignette is required when using Slovenian highways (http://www.dars.si/Dokumenti/Dokumenti/Toll/Vignette_308.aspx). Costs are 15 € per week.
Please note: Public transport in Ljubljana is cashless and requires a special card called "Urbana".
